Blue Cross - Summer Kittens

Dear Friend,

Could you turn one of these helpless
kittens away? Nor could we.
That’s why your help is needed now.

These kittens look adorable now, but it was a very different story when they were first brought to us. Just 48 hours old and already weakened by their ordeal, their fate rested with us. Either we took them in at once, or there was little hope for such tiny babies.

Of course, there was no way we would turn them away. Indeed, as an animal lover I know you would never wish us to reject any unwanted kitten. That’s why I’m writing to ask for your help. Because the fact is that we face a major problem with the sheer number of kittens we expect this summer, and for their sakes we absolutely must cope.

Making the only choice for the kittens -
time after time after time.

Cleopatra, Mischief and Cuddles were fortunate to be brought to us when they were just two days old, along with their mother and their four other brothers and sisters. As the staff at our Bromsgrove adoption centre learned, there was an astonishing story behind their appearance at The Blue Cross’s door.

Their mum ‘Fuzzy’ is an affectionate tortie cat, very small, and just one year old herself. It’s hard to believe anyone could abandon her, but that’s exactly what happened. When Fuzzy’s owners moved home, they simply left her behind outside the empty house — even though she was heavily pregnant.

Mercifully, a kind neighbour was worried about Fuzzy and set out to find her. That was when he discovered that she had produced seven kittens, and so both mother and babies were brought to our Bromsgrove centre.
