British Red Cross - Gift Aid

Dear Mr Ferguson

I’m sure that when you make a donation to the British Red Cross, you want it to be used in the most efficient way. So I hope you will tick the YES box on the form attached, because this simple action on your part will enable us to claim tax relief on all your donations.

There’s no cost to you whatsoever. And the extra 28p in the pound it will bring us means you’ll be helping one extra person for every four we reach now.

As soon as you give us permission by ticking the YES box, we can reclaim tax already paid on donations you have given since April 2000, and on any you may give to the British Red Cross in the future. To someone caught up in a disaster, this could mean vital emergency help - help they would otherwise not receive.

The extra income from this scheme is extremely important to the British Red Cross. I’ve enclosed a leaflet for you in case you still have any questions about it. Please look at the leaflet, and make sure you post your completed form - even if you have to tick the NO box because you don’t pay enough UK tax. Then we can make sure we don’t waste your time, or our precious resources, writing further letters about this.

Please use the freepost envelope provided. Thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely

Jeremy Hughes
Director
